"This Shiraz shows a deep red colour. The nose initially displays cloves, plums, baked cherries, allspice, and black pepper, along with the dusty earth character typical of Beechworth’s granitic soils. It has a soft palate with textures of soft leather. Red berries particularly mulberries give fruit sweetness with a background of raspberry licorice. A fine and elegant wine with silky soft tannins bursting with freshness and youthful exuberance." Extract from Haldon Wines Website.
Why we love this wine
We love all of Tracey's wine. Having worked ten years at Giaconda and then starting her own label, Tracey's wines are elegant and a delight to drink. This Shiraz is cool climate and complex and drinks beautifully now as there is age to the wine. Every time we have this Shiraz on pour, the bottles go flying off the shelves - so it is definitely a favourite!
