The Bar And Bottle Shop
In the centre of Bright, our bar and bottle shop offers a welcoming way to experience the best of North East Victoria’s handcrafted beverages. Shelves are lined with bottles from the makers who define the flavour and identity of the North East—cool-climate Chardonnay, expressive Pinot Noir, generous Shiraz, alongside local beers and orchard-pressed ciders.
Our menu by the glass changes every week. Come in for a glass, discover new favourites, and explore selections chosen for their individuality and character.
Stay as long as you like, browse the shelves, ask questions, taste what’s open, and take home a bottle or a selection for the weekend.
Sip in, or take away.

About Us
While regions like Margaret River, the Barossa Valley, and the Mornington Peninsula are well-established names in Australian wine, North East Victoria remains one of the country's most underrated wine destinations. Yet this region is home to a rich and diverse range of wine styles—from the pioneering King Valley Prosecco (the first produced in Australia), to Beechworth Chardonnay now earning global acclaim, elegant cool-climate Pinot Noir from the Alpine Valleys, and bold Rutherglen Shiraz that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Barossa’s best.
North East Wine Bar and Bottle Shop was founded in early 2025 with one simple mission: to champion the wines, stories, and people of this exceptional region. We are located in the picturesque town of Bright—right in the heart of North East Victoria.
Every product we stock is local. We currently stock over 50 regional wineries, with new additions each week, spanning from iconic labels to small, family-run producers that are rarely found elsewhere. We also stock local craft beers and regional spirits.
The idea for North East Wine Bar and Bottle Shop was shaped by personal experience of the owners and a love of Bright and the region.
