Eminence Wines is a small, family-run estate located on the Whitlands High Plateau in north-east Victoria — one of the coldest and highest vineyard sites in the state.
Founded by Clare Burder, the vineyard sits around 841 m above sea level, on free-draining Devonian-era loam soils.
Their winemaking is low-intervention and transparent: grapes are barrel fermented, gently handled, and typically unfiltered. Clare and her partner Pete focus on producing cool-climate, elegant wines, reflecting the purity and character of their remote, high-altitude site.
